  1. Location of mouse cursor causing programs to fail to start

Issue description: Programs will crash while loading if, and only if, my mouse cursor is active on my second screen.

Originally, this affected only one program and I've been in communication with that vendor who've been a bit stumped. However, it has since affected a second program so now, clearly, is not definitively just the program. It could lie somewhere else so here I am. The easy bypass of keeping my mouse active only on my main monitor during loading is not a fix because that program will crash at some time later if, at any time, my mouse is active on my second monitor. The second program, so far, is fine once it loads so the bypass works there.

I've replicated this with different mice plugged in as well as using different USB ports and simply using my trackpad with no external mouse. Same issue. I can't find any description of a similar error anywhere online.

My system is a MSI GE62 6QL Apache laptop upgraded to 16GB RAM with a ViewSonic 23" second monitor. Any help gratefully received.

    Thank you

    :)

    No mouse cursor

    Hi,

It is possible that the system did not recognize the mouse of your computer after it booted up. This can be the reason why you do not see the mouse cursor. Kindly perform a power cycle to refresh the power of the computer. To do this, follow these steps:

    • Shutdown the computer.
    • After shutting it down, remove the battery (if you're using a laptop) and disconnect the computer from the charger.
    • Wait for 1 minute.
    • After 1 minute, attach the battery and turn on the computer.
    • Check if you will see the mouse cursor.

Let us know how it goes.
