    Location of pictures in the slideshow (dekstop wallpapers)


    One of the options for your desktop background is "slideshow" and I'm wondering what folders windows draws from for the "Windows 10" slideshow album (the default one).

    Where did that picture come from

    If it's desktop wallpaper (not the lock screen), then it's probably not spotlight. Those pictures are located in a bit of a hard-to-reach place (details
    here    ).

    My next guess I think, would be that the location for the slideshow was selected as the pictures
    library. That's because a library is the only way to aggregate files (pictures in this case) from multiple locations at once. But I just checked and you cannot actually even select a picture library as your location for the slideshow. So the mystery
    continues for now.

    Background Slideshow Not Working

    It's pretty easy to restore your wallpaper slideshow.

    Right click desktop

    Select Personalize

    Expand Background Option (click on arrow)

    Select Slideshow (Picture, Solid Color, Slideshow)

    Move Down to "Choose Album"

    Click Browse to locate folder of photos for slideshow

    Select Time interval of Slideshow

    Move Down to "Choose Fit"

    Click on your choice for "Fit"

    Then exit, and you're done!
