  1. LOCATION

LOST! I KNOW I posted a question about system location and why it is not shown correctly but I cannot locate it and it does not show up in my listing of postings so I guess I dreamed that I posted it and therefore, I am posting it again.

I purchased a new system in 2016, August and immediately we were being shown with our location pertinent information as Louisville, KY. and with specific locations in towns all around Louisville, all in KY. and none properly as in truth, we live half way between Morgantown, Morgan County, Indiana, and Nashville, Brown County, Indiana.

Previously, I contacted BING about this issue and within a reasonable time, they corrected the situation. However, now we are back to being in Indiana. I KNOW the location within our system is set with our location at Nashville, IN

Is it possible once and for all to have this situation corrected permanently?

Is there anything we can do to influence this other than ensuring our location is always set at Nashville, Indiana or Morgantown, Indiana, within our system?

WHY does this change from time to time?

Further and lastly, must we post the same identical thing in Edge, Office 365 Home, and Windows 10 or does posting it here cover all areas?

    The actual distances are:

Indianapolis, Indiana to Morgantown, Indiana 27.88 miles
Indianapolis, Indiana to Nashville, Indiana 39.00 miles
Indianapolis, Indiana to Louisville, Kentucky 106.73 miles
Morgantown, Indiana to Louisville, Kentucky 81.76 miles

Nashville, Indiana to Louisville, Kentucky 71.01 miles

Morgantown, Indiana to Nashville, Indiana 11.34 miles

    Please advise!

NOTE: Honestly, I have no idea where to post this issue so I am going for Windows. If need to change, feel free to place properly.

    :)

    Location setting

    Hi,

This issue could occur due to incorrect location settings or it would depend on your IP address. We suggest you to check the location settings of your PC, and check if it helps. Here are the steps:

    • Click the Start button, and select Settings.
    • Go to Privacy, and choose Location.
    • Make sure that the Location service is On.

If issue persists, then it has something to do with your IP address. It’s because the location detected depends on the location set on your IP address.

Let us know how it goes.
