Windows 10: Lock Screen background picture

Has anybody had difficulty adding a picture / wallpaper to the lock screen.
I have just set up windows 10 screen saver and I see you can change the lock screen back ground picture.
I have tried adding either one of the windows wallpapers or one of my own pictures but I can't find any option to save the image. on closing the window & returning to the lock screen the picture does not appear to save and returns to the standard blue background with date and time.
I can't find any option to save the image as a lock screen wallpaper.
Does anybody have any suggestions.

Black lock screen

Using latest Windows 10 (ver 1607 14393.187) 64bit. Using Windows Spotlight for Lock screen.

If "Show lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen" is off, lock screen has background picture, sign-in does not; this is correct.

If it is on, then lock screen background is black (date etc is OK) and sign-in has the lock screen background picture. Lock screen should have picture, not black.

 

How far can you personalize Windows?

You can change the lock screen to any picture on your computer.

The login screen is either the same as the Lock screen or a blank screen.

Go Settings, Lock screen, under background change to Picture and under that Browse.

Lower down on the screen is Show lock screen background picture on the sign-in screen. On or Off

I have the same issue. I have been looking all over for a solution but have yet to find one.

 

Me too, I have given up at the moment. My Wife's PC is fine her back ground picture has been changed on the lock screen, but on my Dell Latitude I can't change it. I have checked all the settings against my Wife's one and all seem the same.

 

I have tried Brink, with no luck. It will not let me change the lock screen back ground picture. In the settings for lock screen I click on the picture I want and as soon as I go to the lock screen I have the standard blue background with date & time. I even tried opening the photos app and opening a specific picture then clicking set as lock screen and even that does not change the picture.

 

Mine is a Latitude E6430.

 

I have a Latitude E6510, given up with the lock screen, I'm hoping somebody will have a solution very soon.

 

Did you try rebooting after the change was specified rather than just logging out then back in?

 

Good news, yes have done a full re]boot and now the lock screen background picture has changed to the one I selected.
