Windows 10: Lock screen customization unavailable in Windows 10 home.

I am attempting to set a slide show of personal pictures for my lock screen. Unfortunately this option is greyed out in the settings window. A yellow message on top says " *Some of these settings are hidden or managed by your organization." This makes no sense to me since this has always been my personal computer since I bought it new and installed win 10 on it myself.I have done some research and it appears that a group policy is preventing me from editing those settings and the proposed solution is to disable said group policy with the group policy editor. Cannot locate custom Lock Screen images in W10 Pro 1809

Success.

Here is the solution, but it is imperative to proceed carefully.
There are also a couple of final steps that are missing and I had to think about it.

Retrieve Custom Windows 10 Lock Screen Image - Super User

This must be done as Administrator (True Administrator account) -

You must add "Administrator" to the additional fields not listed to get through the permission issues caused by NTFS.

Edit - I'm posting the missing steps:





There's quite a bit going on here, but the important item to understand is that for each "picture" folder, you need to add yourself as Administrator.
Just click on "Select a principal" and enter Administrator as the Object Name for each folder you wish to gain access to.

No Lock screen in Windows 10.

• When you say that "rolling slideshow ", what exactly are you referring to?
• When you say that "I can't activate it again.", are you referring that you are not able to Activate Windows 10?
• What are the troubleshooting steps which you have performed to resolve the issue?

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen pictures.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select the lock screen picture.
