Windows 10: Lock Screen Music Player

Dear Community,


I have recently bought a new Notebook with a Windows 10 Operating System. When I play music via Chrome Browser or watch a stream via the Twitch Application and go into lock screen it would show this small window on the lower right corner of the lock screen:



I now have two questions, I haven't been able to answer despite my best efforts to research it.

A What is this?

B How do I disable it?

Music player buttons on N9 lock screen

I have used N9 a couple of weeks on my car as a music player with Bluetooth radio. I have discovered that it is very easy and simple to use swipe to forward/rewind on music player. However for the security reason I use the security code on N9. There is too
many steps/taps to get back to music player application. (Wake up the screen --> get security code --> swipe to the right app.)



When I tap two or three times on blank screen I'll get those tiny small buttons to forward/rewind or pause the ongoing music. All I ask is to get the similar swipe to lock screen.

The Groove library works like WMP's. You can choose which folders it looks for music at startup. Open Groove, hit the gear setting in L column (see screen). If you click 'choose where . look for music', likely the default is your entire This PC/Music folder. If you delete all the folders, there will be no music on the interface when it opens. But if you really want to use WMP, follow the above suggestions on how to make it your default player rather than the current Windows 10 default of Groove.

 

how to change the background in music player?

You can't change the background of the music player. There is a feature suggestion in the Windows Phone section of UserVoice that has request. You can add your vote to that suggestion to let Microsoft know that you want that feature.

Please improve the music player,

The music player can be improved a lot, like album photos should be displayed in the background and the lock screen as well. Also a separate playlist should be created automatically of the songs marked as favourite.
