Windows 10: Lock screen not working if video playing

Hello,


I have the lock screen set on Windows 10 for one minute, which I thought would always kick-in with no mouse or keyboard activity. I've found, though, that sometimes it doesn't do that when I've gone out for more than a minute, and realised it's because I have a news channel open in one of several tabs that's continually playing video no sound as the PC is on silent. The point is, you might accidentally or deliberately leave music or video on if you're going away for just a few minutes or, as in my case, it might be playing incidentally. I appreciate you could discipline yourself to check that nothing is running each time you leave, but you might as well just lock the screen manually each time, which is not the point of the setting.


So my point is, by inactivity I think it should mean inactivity of the user, that is, no keyboard or mouse inputs, not of the PC - which is always doing something. Is there any way of forcing a lock down solely based on keyboard or mouse inactivity?

Not natively.
You'll be able to hear it, but the only thing you'll see on the Lock Screen is the Media Controller applet.
