Windows 10: Lock Screen to Logon Credentials not working as desired

Discus and support Lock Screen to Logon Credentials not working as desired in Windows 10 Customization to solve the problem; I think you are going to have to hope MS has prioritized this bug and has a fix.     I might just open a premier case with it. I got hours to burn and most of my work is done for the year. Hopefully I can get a hotfix or some form of solution to the issue. I am also going to test a clean install using our OSD to see if this is an upgrade issue or a general OS issue.

    So just did a clean OSD for 1709 same task sequence but replaced the install.wim from the 1709 media.

    So still get the accent only lockscreen when it reboots. However, now if I dismiss the lockscreen and get to the logon screen, wait till the lockscreen re-appears again, then the lockscreen image will show up.

    On upgrades it never shows up, so its an OS issue but worse when you upgrade.

    I am going to test a clean install of 1703 then upgrade to 1709 and see if the behavior is as above or completely broken.

    Our 1607 image used the "CopyProfile" in the sysprep/unattend file which I know was a no no, but at the time the only way we could have gotten the customization we wanted... I wonder if CopyProfile is completely breaking it...

    I am going to probably open a case with MS, as its a bug, a majority of our workstations are on 1703 at this point with some stragglers on 1607. I want to get to 1709 but this is a quality issue for us :/

    I have not applied it yet. I just pulled it in to SCCM and have it deployed to our test group. But I will install through Windows Update real quick.

    No luck. Latest CU applied and same behavior. I am imaging a 1703 box right now, and then will do the upgrade to 1709 via SCCM feature upgrade and see if I get equal behavior.

    So a 1703 to 1709 upgrade generates the same behviour. On reboot only accent color, press space bar to dismiss the lockcscreen, wait a few when the lockscreen returns proper image is displayed.

    I think its the order of operations on loading the lockscreen image and how it refreshes it. Probably with emphasis on the Spotlight lockscreen image more than a personal/company based one.

    I will see about opening a premier case on it.... It works once the user is logged in which is nice, but wish it worked fine on reboot/logout.
