Windows 10: Lock screen vertical drawing artifacts descending from image description box.

See the attached image of a Windows 11 lock screen. I clicked on the background image description box, and when it appeared, there are vertical smudge lines descending from it all the way to the bottom of the screen. It doesn't cause any functional problems, but it looks sloppy.

Lock Screen Image Too Big

• Is this issue occurs only when the pictures are set from OneDrive?

I suggest you to set the picture for the lock screen using the default lock screen pictures and check whether the issue persist or not, follow the below steps to set the pictures.

• Go to “settings” and click on “personalization”.
• Under “lock screen” tab, select the option from the drop box as “picture”.
• Then under “choose your picture” option, click on any picture and go to the lock screen, check whether the issue persists or not.

Windows Spotlight Lock Screen Picture not changing and no image description

Hi Mary,

This issue might have caused by a corrupted system files or an incompatible display driver. For us to troubleshoot this issue, we suggest that you reset the Windows Spotlight by following these steps:

• Open Settings.
• Click on Personalization.
• Click on Lock screen tab.
• Under Background, make sure that Windows Spotlight
  is not selected and change the option to Picture
  or Slideshow.
• Close the Settings window.
• Press Windows key + R to open Run
  dialog box.
• Type the following path and press Enter:
  • %USERPROFILE%/AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\Assets
• Press on Ctrl + A buttons to select all files, and then press
  Delete button to clear all old images.
• Press Windows key + R to open Run
  dialog box.
• Type the following path to where the Windows Spotlight settings are stored and press
  Enter:
  • %USERPROFILE%/AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\Settings
• Right-click on settings.dat and roaming.lock individually.
• Click on Rename and name them settings.dat.bak
  and roaming.lock.bak.
• Restart your computer, and check if the issue is resolve.

different lock screen and sign in screen?

Step 2b is labeled as Change the Login Screen Image, but the steps show you how to change the Lock Screen image. Step 2a is irrelevant. It only tells you how to change the desktop background.

What I want to do:
Set Spotlight as the LOCK Screen Image(s) - Done
Set the Win 10 Hero Image as the SIGN IN Screen Image - This is the one that shows after you click on the lock screen and you are able to type your password. If I uncheck "Show Lock Screen Image on Sign In Screen", it shows a solid blue background behind my Password box and user image. This is what I want to change to the Hero Image....
