Windows 10: Lock the Taskbar in Windows 11

In mid 2023 Microsoft developers made a hairbrained decision to remove the option to LOCK pinned apps on the taskbar. Promises, promises, promises that the issue would be addressed. And here we are, nearly 2 years later and users STILL do NOT have the ability to lock apps on the taskbar.Users are demanding the option. Microsoft is ignoring users and it is reprehensible.And to seeming helpful users who tell me to hide my taskbar or give me registry hacks to change the size of my taskbar?JUST DO NOT! Those are not answers to the issue.Microsoft needs to listen to users and bring back a much belo

Lock the Taskbar in Windows 11

My Taskbar buttons change position too easily as I move across the Touchpad and keyboard. I want to lock them so they stay in the same order. I would also like to change the height of the Taskbar as it takes up too much of my screen. I checked on this site and there are a couple of answers that suggest this is not possible in Windows 11. If that's the case, how is Win 11 an improvement on Windows 10.

I suggest you to change the Screen Resolution and check if this helps. Follow the steps below to do the same:

• Press ‘Windows ’ key on the keyboard.
• In the search box, type Settings
  
• SelectSystem > Display > Advanced display settings.
• Under Resolution, select a new value. We suggest you stick with the resolution marked
  "(Recommended)”.

Also try locking and then unlocking the Taskbar and check if this helps. Follow the steps below:

• Right-click an empty space on the taskbar.
• If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked.
  
• If it does not have a check mark, click Lock the Taskbar.

What happened to the 'lock taskbar' and option to make taskbar icons smaller?
