Windows 10: Lockdown browser causing constant screen dimming

My son had to install Lockdown Browser on his new laptop, operating with Windows 11. When Lockdown browser kicks in, the screen dims, then cycles from dim to black to bright and then continues to cycle through the brightness modes. We are unsure if it is a windows thing or a lockdown browser thing, but trying to trouble shoot from all sides since he has a test tomorrow! yikes!

How to dim screen?

I tried googling Windows Ten, "how to dim screen," but the layout listed is not the layout I have. I just got Ten yesterday. How do you dim the screen?

I can't even find the options in the Display section.

 

Screen dim and can't adjust


I screwed up..... My laptop locked up and I ran my hand across all the keys and my screen went dim. I can't get it bright again. I must have hit a combination of keys that caused the problem. I have tried suggestions people have posted but nothing seems to work, any ideas?

If you are referring to the lock screen, I suggest you to follow the steps provided below and check if it helps.

• On the lock screen, click on Ease of access icon next to network connection icon.
• Click On Screen keyboard.
• Type the password and check.

I also suggest you to change the language and check.

• On the lock screen, click on language icon next to network connection icon.
• Click the language to US English.
• Type the password and check.
