    Today I tried to lock an HDD and now I'm unable to see its contents even as administrator.

    I right-clicked on the hdd and changed the rights from EVERYONE rejecting them all with the logic that anyone rather than me and these profiles couldn't be able to saw/edit them. (1.Administrator (pc name),2. (pc name), 3.CREATOR-OWNER). However this led to block me out too and even from the above users (who had all the rights) couldn't see the files, projecting an error saying "you're not authorized to see the folders".

    Is there something I can do to fix this problem? Are the files lost and cannot be restored?

    Can you list a few helpful hints for T ski ,maybe a step by step how to OR what to look out for*Cool Locked files. Now can't see them :cool:

    PC Build Steps

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??
