Windows 10: Locked from BitLocker. What Microsoft account is my device on?

I decided to update the bios my laptop, and now I am locked out because of BitLocker. My understanding is that I can retrieve the recovery key from my Microsoft account. But, when I looked in my devices my laptop was not listed under my devices. How can I find out what account my laptop is registered in while being locked from BitLocker?Thanks, Anthony btw: I know the desktop code windows is giving me. Unlock device Lock by bitlocker device encryption without key recovery/lost Microsoft account

I have bought a new laptop from Dell with windows 10 home (single language) on last December, and recently it happened to be lock by bitlocker. I have contact Microsoft support and also dell support, both ot them was fail to help me unlock my laptop.

At first I was though it is lock by bitlocker, however after I Google for help, I found that Windows 10 home don't support bitlocker, and I believe my laptop was lock by the device encryption which looks similar to bitlocker.

After I read about device encryption, I see my chance to get my recovery key. I try to login into several Microsoft account that I remember, but I don't found the key, but the device encryption won't automatic enable without a microsoft account. So it must
be a Microsoft account login or created during my laptop first startup. Now i have the key ID, is there anyway for me to trace back which microsoft account the key ID link to?

I hope somebody from Microsoft or anyone can help me to solve my issue. Thank you.

 

Bitlocker key can not be found in the microsoft account

After a regular update of Windows my Notebook asked me for the Bitlocker Key although I never activated this. The device is listed in my account but in the list of keys it's not.

Simply doing a reset is definitely not an option, the data is needed.

Every single suggestion for how to find the key is absolutely useless so far.

Could these other devices be from friends that you may have signed in to your Microsoft account on for something?

Either way, you can remove these devices.

Afterwards to be safe, I would recommend to change the password of your Microsoft account, and enable two-step verification if you haven't already.
