Windows 10: Locked In Windows Safe Mode, No Internet, Wired Ethernet Doesn’t Work

I booted into Windows 10 Safe Mode. When I try to log in, “password is incorrect.” I reset my password on Microsoft so I know my password. I typed in the correct password, “password is incorrect.” I used SHIFT + Restart to access Windows 10 Safe Mode with Networking - there is no networking just “Airplane Mode” enabled. I connected my computer to a wired ethernet and restarted in Windows 10 Safe Mode with Networking... it’s still in Airplane Mode. When I try to log in, “password is incorrect.”


So I used SHIFT + Restart to try and access the Command Prompt. In order to access the Command Prompt, I am required to - you guessed it - enter my password. When I attempted to enter my correct password to get into the Command Prompt, “password incorrect.”


So now I’m stuck in Safe Mode, Networking doesn’t work even when using wired ethernet, and to execute literally any command I have to ..... enter my password. Which is “incorrect” according to Windows 10 Safe Mode with Networking (but no actual networking).


This is beyond ridiculous.


Is my only option now to reinstall Windows 10 and wipe everything from my computer?

internet only in safe mode; what to look for


Win 10 on PC; AT&T Uverse; Ethernet

For the last couple of weeks my internet connection has been intermittent, and online times getting shorter. Today I was unable to get on the internet at all. Updating the network driver didn't help. I first contacted my service provider (AT&T) and they sent techs on two occasions : first to improve quality of house wiring, and then to install a new router. These changes did not fix the problem. So the third tech gave up and said the problem was probably caused by a Windows update. Google search found that intermittent internet is a common problem, but the suggestions didn't help. Finally I booted in Safe Mode, and suddenly my internet connection is stable.

My question now is : what should I look for in Safe Mode to remove whatever is interfering with my internet connection?

 

Windows doesn`t start. Authomatic repair doesn`t work.

I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.

Please reply: Is it a wired or wireless connection?

Sometimes it might not work since safe mode allows only a minimum drivers.

I would suggest you run the Network Troubleshooter and see if it fixes your issue.

Please follow the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” on the Windows Search bar and hit enter.
• On the left side of the Troubleshooting window, click on “View all”
• Click on Network Adapter. Please provide a password if asked for it and click ok.
