    Locked out of HP computer and no access to phone number on account


    Recently just got a new laptop. Everything was fine. I went to sign in and microsoft said that due to a security reason, I had to verify the phone number that was on the account. I do not have access to that phone number anymore and it says they won't update my information till after 30 days. I need this laptop for school. What can I do?!

    numbers key will not lock on My hp lapto computer

    I tried the suggestion, however it did not work on my HP Laptop. I wish it had.

    Steve, All you need is a Windows 10 installation USB in order to use the procedure given in post #2. If you do not have one of them then you will need to take your computer to somebody who does. The procedure does not entail any use of the MSAccount reset / old mobile number / email reset. Denis

    Cannot access HP Laptop after it asked me to reset my pin and the account's phone number was outdated

    Today my HP laptop had asked me to change my pin before I logged into it, but two step verification was on for (I had no idea this was on and assumedly it was turned on when I created the account without me knowing). I no longer use this phone number, so I successfully changed the phone but now it locked me out of anything that requires two step verification for 30 days until it decides the phone number is good, including changing my pin and thereby locking me out of my laptop for the next thirty days. Can someone help with this.
