    My PIN got locked earlier due to a bunch of BSOD shutdowns which I think I may have fixed the source of, but now my laptop is saying that the PIN is required for me to log-in, even while it is completely locked from being used, preventing me from accessing my laptop entirely. It says the PIN will be unlocked after the device is powered for at least 2 hours, but I had been using it for quite a few hours after the PIN option was locked before I got locked out and the PIN is still locked. Is there any way to force unlock the PIN because it seems like otherwise I am completely locked out of my l

    My PIN got locked earlier due to a bunch of BSOD shutdowns (which I think I may have fixed the source of), but now my laptop is saying that the PIN is required for me to log-in, even while it is completely locked from being used, preventing me from accessing my laptop entirely. It says the PIN will be unlocked after the device is powered for at least 2 hours, but I had been using it for quite a few hours after the PIN option was locked before I got locked out and the PIN is still locked. Is there any way to force unlock the PIN because it seems like otherwise I am completely locked out of my laptop, and I require the laptop for quite a few things.

    Best method to disable Vista/Vista 64 driver signing?

    It's not a matter of "try". The bcdedit command is not fully consistent and reliable for some folks.

    So far, to me, it seems the third choice always locks (disables) the driver signing. If that is the case for anyone who uses it, then that would suggest it is the more reliable and consistent method of the ones I've listed, anyway.

    HP laptop

    I use to sign in with a PIN from the lock screen that took me directly to the desktop and logged on Microsoft account. Lately (after update) I sign in to lock screen with my PIN and get the lock screen. I have to click and reenter a PIN to get to desk
    top.

    Any suggestions on how to eliminate this annoying duplication?
