Windows 10: Locked out of Microsoft account due to too many password reset attempts

Hello,I recently forgot my Microsoft account password and tried multiple times using the "Forgot Password" option. Each time, I used the suggested strong passwords, but now I’m locked out. My laptop is asking for the Microsoft account password to sign in, but it says "You have tried too many times, try again tomorrow."I want to know:1. Do I have to wait exactly 24 hours, or can I try again after 12:00 AM?2. Is there any way to recover access sooner?3. Will I be permanently locked out if I fail again tomorrow?

Thanks for the reply, but it does not help me. The website does not proceed past step 4. After entering the security code, the website does not proceed to step 5. It does not give an error message, it simply greys out the next and cancel buttons and hangs
indefinitely.

I'll try your "Get account help by email" suggestion and post the solution here when I've found one.

 

I can not reset my google password

Two step works for me if your phone info is the same as it was you should be able to recover it.
