Windows 10: Locked out of my laptop by bitlocker, and I dont have the key. Restoring with no save not...

Ive been locked out of my laptop by bitlocker, an encryption service I am 100% sure i didn't set up. I only have one ms account and never either printed out the key, or stored it on a USB as the ms support page suggests. How can i get access to my key, for this program which i never signed up for?
I only bought the device recently, and as such haven’t performed any back ups as I didn’t expect an issue to arise so early. So because of this I have files which I can’t lose stored on my laptop which I can’t get any access to.
Ive contacted Microsoft and they said the key may be stored in the motherboard, but the manufacturer said that isn’t the case.
What can I do??

My laptop is locked with BitLocker and to recover the key I need my account but I dont remember which one I use there.

What can I do?

And is there a way to get my email/account using cmd?

 

BitLocker Save to USB Flash missing?

I followed the step by step guide on what Brink wrote up below.

However, when turning ON BitLocker to encrypt the OS drive only, and ask me to where to save the recovery key, I get only the Save to File and not the Save to USB Flash. Has MS taken out the Save to USB selection since WIn 10 version 1511?

I followed all the steps and left BitLocker to its default setting (except for encryption method).

I was able to save the recovery key to a file which was my USB flash drive.
