Windows 10: Locked out of new laptop due to BitLocker

I recently bought a new Acer Nitro 5 laptop on Amazon, and when booting it up for the first time, I was met with a screen asking for a BitLocker code. I have been trying to get into this device for hours, using volume letters and parameters inside of the Command Prompt, but I cannot get the BitLocker recovery key. Even trying to add this device to my account using the serial number found in the Command Prompt has had no success. I’ve tried resetting using the Troubleshoot menu, and factory resetting with the Command Prompt, both unsuccessful. If you know any way to get into this device besid

Bitlocker frequently locking computers

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately these suggestions don't really fit our needs. We want to use BitLocker and don't want to disable it. The problem we have is that it locks some of our computers from time to time. Ideally we will make use of BitLocker but not have it blocking our computers.

I have tried:

1. Turning off BitLocker
   
2. Installing all Driver and Windows Updates
   
3. Turning BitLocker back on again
   

Maybe this will help. We will wait and see.

 

Locked laptop, no password, Bitlocker locks the drive

A colleague expired recently and left his laptop (issued by the office) locked and Bitlocker locks the drive. We don't know what password he used and the Bitlocker recovery key. How can we reformat the laptop if there's no other way to access it?
