Windows 10: Locked out of surface 2

I am locked out of my surface 2, I forgot my password and pin and facial recognition is not working. Yes I have only been using facial recognition to log in.


I have already tried changing my password for Microsoft but the computer did not update and it is showing being connected to wifi.


It shows it was updated March 1st.

I have restarted multiple times even with holding shift down and tried the power button and volume button.

This doesn't list the "Surface Laptop", but you might give it a try to see.

So, after suggesting checking for firmware updates, it does appear there was a firmware release July 23, 2015 that resolves this issue. The step-by-step directions as well as the firmware release history for the Surface Pro 2 can be found here.

• Confirm which build is currently installed on your device. To check, follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + R, then type in winver.
• Click OK.

• Were there any recent changes made prior to this issue?
• What is the exact of your Surface device?
• Please clarify that the issue is about the ARC Bluetooth Mouse somehow locks your computer and sends you to the lockscreen.
