Windows 10: Locked out of Win 10 PC - Forgot PIN and there is no other option available

Well I wrote the PIN on paper so I'm surprised it says is wrong, I tried different combinations of number I might have switched but no luck, and now I tried too many times and first I have to hard reboot the pc then type A1B2C3 an try one time the PIN again.Let me be clear THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE OPTION whatsoever nowhere does it ask me if I forgot my PIN, nor there is anything that allows me to log in with password, that is all I got plus the language, wifi, accessibility, and power buttons.I tried without success:- rebooting on safe mode.- opening cmd prompt from safe mode and typing some in

To resolve the issue regarding locked out in Windows 10, we suggest you follow the steps below:

• Open the “Settings” in Win menu and click on the “Account” icon to enter account settings.

• Choose “Sign-in option” and click “I forgot my PIN”, you can reset your PIN there. If it is a local account, please input the local account login password and then you can reset your PIN.

PIN option not available at lock screen

Hello,

I have reset my PIN for several times even with administrator account but PIN option is still not available and I use password to log in which is so anguishing. Please suggest solution.

 

Can't create pin for login. Pin stopped working

Try the steps here:

• Navigate to PC Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options. Click on I forgot my PIN link.
• Next, click on the Continue button in the Are you sure you forgot your PIN? screen.
• You can now add a new PIN and click OK.
