Windows 10: Locked out of Windows 10 after msconfig, safe mode

How do I get into Windows 10 after being locked out? I had a ransomware problem and learned that the first step to fix it is to remove the files created by the ransomware and mixed with system files by rebooting through Safe mode with msconfig. So I did. The tutorial didn't warn me about PIN and passwords, so on the welcome screen I was asked for a password. I only have a PIN setup, didn't set any password, but the Safe mode doesn't seem to have any idea of a PIN, but just keeps asking for a password. I think I should have disabled any PIN or password first before restarting, but now it's too

Stuck in safe mode in windows 10

Safe mode is intended to help fix most, if not all problems within an operating system, it's not good if we got stuck on it. To correct this, we suggest that you follow the steps below to exit out of Safe mode:

• Open Run command by pressing Windows key + R
  keys on the keyboard and type msconfig in the command box and press
  Enter.
• Under General tab, put a check on Normal Startup option.
• Reboot the system and check if the changes are effective.

Let us know if you are able to exit out of Safe mode with these steps.

• What are you referring to when you say DDU?
• What error message do you get when you type msconfig in the command prompt?

Perform the steps mentioned below and see if it helps.

a: Press Windows key + R, in the safe mode.

b: Then type msconfig and hit enter.

If you are able to successfully get into msconfig then click the Boot tab.

c: Uncheck the option for safe mode and then click apply and then ok.

I suggest you to try the below steps to exit from the Safe mode on Windows 10.

Steps to place the computer in normal mode.

• Press Windows + R keys to open
  Run command.
• Type msconfig and press
  Enter.
• In the System Configuration window, click on
  General tab.
• Select Start-up selection as
  Normal startup, click on Apply
  and Ok.
• Follow onscreen instructions.
