Windows 10: Locked out

Since enabling two factor authentication, forgetting my password, and losing access to the authenticator app on my iphone almost a year ago, I am locked out of my microsoft account, apparently permanently.


I cannot reset my password, because the procedure for recovery requires that your authenticator app be already configured.


Microsoft support has been no help at all. That is, its online support has failed to help numerous times, and apparently microsoft no longer employs Indian outsourced phone support.


I would not care, except that my copy of Winblows and my nOne drive are both linked to this account.


So...

PC Build Steps

Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval

• Install system in case
  • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
• Turn on PC
• setup HDD
• run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
  • run realtemp at the same time

• While in Prime95 test
  • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
  • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
  • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!

What do you guys think??

Thanks for the quick reply. While your suggestion does change the sign in process, it doesn't address the differing screenshot question. Following the steps doesn't make the login screenshot the same as the Lock screenshot. As I mentioned, I can't even find the screenshots being used for both screens.

Still looking a solution to this. Open to any other suggestions you might have to the problem. Thanks!

 

Lock screen issue

I suggest you to follow these steps:

• 
  Go to Settings>>Personalization>>Lock Screen.
  
• 
  In the right panel, select Picture instead of Windows Spotlight.
