Windows 10: Locked screen due to unknown PIN request.

The computer Win10 in question is offline due to an adapter problem. Where the PIN request came from I don't know. I've never had one. I can't get online even with an ethernet cable because I can't get in. I tried to boot in SAFE MODE but after going through all the steps it loops back at the PIN window. Suggestions greatly appreciated!!

Maybe it's time to step back from the current efforts, and start over. I suggest you read over this excellent tutorial and try all of its steps: [Solved] Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed) for Windows 10 - Driver Easy. The one that may provide you with some easy relief is the one where you uninstall the device whose descriptor is failing, reboot, and see what happens when device enumeration recurs during boot-up. If you're lucky, it will fix itself.

Set Nokia 5230 to request lock code (not pin) at startup.

Hi,



As the title suggests I want to set my 5230 to request the lock code at startup (the one thats 12345 by default). But not to request the code when bringing it out of standby.



I used to have it set that way, but since updating the firmware I can only find the option to request the sim pin or to set it to lock after x minutes.



Has it changed in v40 or am I being thick?

Lock screen automatically with password

To have a better view on this concern, are you referring with Lock Screen timeout? If so, we suggest that you follow the steps below:

• Click on Start menu.
• Go to Settings.
• Click on Accounts.
• Under Sign-in options, click on Lock screen.
• Go to Screen timeout settings.
• Change the value under Screen.

Also, no need to create a pin code since you already have your Microsoft account password. You can sign in using your account.
