Windows 10: Locking down window 10 or 11 for children

Hi, My wife runs a preschool that doesn't have internet access.The children's old XP machine has finally died so we are looking at replacing it. The old machine had software that locked the desktop so that only certain old 16 bit educational programmes could be used and there were no other actions that could be performed. This limited the amount of PC repair that I needed to do for the school. The school would like to buy a windows 10 or 11 machine but is there anyway that the PC could be locked down so that only the selected 16 bit programmes could be displayed as icons and no other options a

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Family Safety weekly report being CC'd to my children

Hi,

As the information of Family Safety Report are going to children by default, we would like you to do a refresh on the child account and see if the issue persists.

To remove/re-add a child account, please follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to Family Safety using the parent account.

2. Click Manage list of Family Members.

3. Select the child account, and then click Remove. Click Remove to confirm.

After troubleshooting, we would suggest you to add the children account. The reports will not be CC to children.
