    Locking the PC re-arranges all windows, layout etc


    Hi all.

    Upgraded to W10 a month or so back from W7. Primary reason was I had a new 4K monitor (in addition to two 1080 displays), and the scaling in W10 was supposed to be a lot better. It is, but it's not perfect. Anyway, I can live with that.

    However, one massive annoyance is that when I lock the PC (I do whenever I leave my desk), upon unlocking all the windows I have open move about. Things that I have one screen 1may move to screen 2, and resize. Other things from 3 move to 1 and resize. there's no logic to it, and it's appears to be totally random.

    Any ideas why this is happening?

    Why do my icons continue to re-arrange.

    My icons continue to re-arrange. I've turned off my auto arrange and my icons continue to re-arrange. I don't have any games on my computer nor does my system lock up to cause this. I have Windows 10 Pro on my computer.

    I want to change the main standby screen layout so there is nothing on there but my selected wallpaper image, is there a way of doing this? Or at least a way to re-arrange the shortcut keys?

    For now I've set all monitors NOT to power off after inactivity, but this isn't an ideal solution, spoken as someone with a carbon footprint more akin to a carbon shoe shop!
