Windows 10: Lockscreen background remains black despite attempts to use Windows spotlight/customised...

I followed instructions to delete my lockscreen wallpaper history in the following manner: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\SystemData, and I changed the ownership of the folder 'SystemData‘ in this process. However, after I successfully deleted the wallpaper history, my lockscreen wallpaper has become black and is unable to show the spotlight/picture I chose. There is no problem with the action of choosing a picture, but when I choose it, the lockscreen would remain black. In addition, when I try to right click on the picture stored locally and set as lockscreen, the system would notify that

I have bought a Lumia 730(dual sim) just 3 days ago and was trying to personalize my 'start-background' and the 'lock-screen' with selected pictures saved in my phone SDcard. I have followed all the steps for the same (as described in "lumia Help + Tips"
section).. But in spite of successfully making all the selections -- both my lockscreen or start-background remains exactly as chosen background-colour (i.e. black and white for 'dark' and 'light' respectively)... Kindly enlighten me regarding the solution
of this set-up...

Hi, have you ever removed Edge?

Sometimes this might happen because there's a MS server issue. However, what you say above suggests something else may be amiss. N.B. after resetting Spotlight as Bree suggests, it may take several days (in my experience) before it starts working again. Please post a screenshot like this:

• Have you made any recent changes before this issue occur?
• Are you able to use spotlight before?

Meanwhile, we suggest that you follow these steps to modify Lock screen background to spotlight:

• Open Settings.
• Click Personalization and select Lock screen.
• Under Background, choose Windows spotlight.
