Windows 10: LockScreen errors

For the past few weeks I've been seeing errors in the Event Viewer relating to the LockScreen. These only happen when waking the PC up from Sleep mode.
The errors are:-

Activation of application Microsoft.LockApp_cw5n1h2txyewy!WindowsDefaultLockScreen failed with error: The app didn't start in the required time. See the Microsoft-Windows-TWinUI/Operational log for additional information.

and

1002
The program LockApp.exe version 0.0.0.0 stopped interacting with Windows and was closed. To see if more information about the problem is available, check the problem history in the Security and Maintenance control panel.

I've searched for a fix for this and have found plenty of references to it but can't find a fix as yet.

LOCKSCREEN BUG with my Omnia 7.

I found a solution to the problem!



Go to Settings , then to Brightness , then select On for Automatically Adjust .

If Automatically Adjust is Off, then you will have an error in the lockscreen. If it is On, then you will have no error in the lockscreen.

It seems to happen in some systems, and frankly my wife's computer does that. When waking from sleep, the lock screen doesn't appear. Only the login screen does, however, if I log out, and log back in, its fine. Although I think it's related to her hard drive, as when I installed Windows on a different drive, the problem didn't occur.

Not sure if you have the same issue, but that what I think is going on here. Some corrupt system files I believe cause of the HD. This HD did the same thing in another computer

 

Yes that's exactly the same issue I have. It works fine when booting the PC up but I only have the problem when waking from sleep mode.
Having said that it's only a minor annoyance, I just wondered if anyone knew of a quick fix for it.
I've not considered that it could be a HD problem though.

 

On my computer, the lock screen shows up before the hard drive reinitializes. Although that was a problem for a while as the screen would go black after it reinitialized. That ended up being fixed after an update but was annoying. Sorry I don't have a quick fix for you
