Windows 10: lockup screen after 1 minute

I have installed a new lenovo t16 laptop with windows 11 prothe lockup is still after 1 minute. I tried all settings for power/batteries/lockup/ screensaver to 30 min and still no resultalso the screensaver that has been specified does not come up - just black screenii is annoying because keepasxc is each time locked also and i have to identify againany permanent solution ? thanks for all update/helpGuy

Screen saver starting automatically after 1 minute of inactivity

I understand it can be frustrating when the settings of Windows are not working the way they are supposed to.

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.



Method 1:



Run the power troubleshooter. Follow the steps mentioned below to run the troubleshooter.

1. Go to Settings >
   Update & security > Troubleshoot.
   
2. Under Find and fix problems look for
   Power.
   
3. Click on it and select
   Run the troubleshooter.
   
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.
   

Method 2:



Change the screen saver time and check.

1. Go to Settings >
   Personalization > Lock screen.
   
2. Now click on Screen saver settings.
   
3. On the screen saver window change the
   wait time as per your choice.
   
4. Click on Apply and
   OK.

I suggest the following simple steps:

1. Set the autosave options in MS Office to a low value say 5 minutes.
2. Setup file history to autosave frequently - the shortest period is 5 mins
3. Install Macrium Reflect Free and configure it to do a daily incremental system backup

You should be well covered if you do the above to protect your key files.
