Windows 10: Log-in Pin - Something went wrong code:0x80284001

Hello, every time I open my laptop, there's a 4-digit pin I use to log in. But it starts showing this problem. My legion 5 is only 3 weeks old. I'm unsure if it is because of an update or the laptop itself.

Entered wrong PIN code

I am new to the PC and Windows world.

I bought a new program and it downloaded but I can not install it because i entered the wrong PIN code too many times when I tried to open it. Tried to restart after following the steps for PIN code change. Same message again, enter PIN code.

How do I get the 7 digit verification code?

I went to log into my laptop and it asks for my pin it tells me something went wrong(code: 0x80284001) and gives me the option to set up my pin. I go to through the process until it asks for my code Microsoft sends me. I put in the 6 digit code that I was sent(I Have tried email and text) and it tells me it needs to be 7 digits.

Thanks for the info but when I tried your suggestion and web link, I still cannot log in and still get the same issue where I am stuck in the circle. Log in and get directed to the create pin or skip selection. Try to create pin and it keeps saying something went wrong. Tried to skip step and get moved straight to the log back in screen.
