Windows 10: log-in screecn picture stays after I boot to desktop.

Like the heading says; if I boot into windows the PC logs me on to my Desktop but I cannot see the desktop because the login picture remains on top of it, I still have the taskbar though. If I click on any shortcut on the taskbar the log in picture vanishes & there is the desktop.The PC runs perfectly but for this one issue

If you want to stay logged in to your computer, please follow the steps below:

• Go to Settings.
• Click on Personalization.
• Select Lock screen.
• Click on Screen timeout settings.
• From there you can now change the settings to Never.

Thank you - that seems to have solved my problem. (But why could I not have been told this in the first place (rather than requiring me to look for "lower right hand corner select Screen Saver" direct from the Personalisation screen?!(

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.
