Windows 10: "Log on as" option greyed out in software protection in services

I've been having trouble with software protection not launching and as a result windows 11 has been deactivated on my device. When attempting to launch software protection I get the message "Windows could not start the Software Protection service on Local Computer. Error 1057: The account name is invalid and does not exist, or the password is invalid for the account name specified." When attempting to log on as a different account or change the password in the service it's all greyed out, and I'm unable to change anything. I have restarted the pc but that's pretty much it, I don't know how to

Thanks for the quick response, but I still couldn't get it to work. In the system 32 folder I right click sppsvc and go to permissions, then security, and when I try to change the permission to full, the check boxes are greyed out and I can't click them.

Also, I completed the second step and double checked that sppsvc was given full permissions, however I still get "Error 5 access denied" message when I try to start software protection from the services menu.

The Software Protection Service checks for the authenticity of a software when you try to install one.

It also checks for the activation status of the Windows version that you have installed in
your computer. If the service finds that the software you are trying to install is not legitimate, it denies you the access to install the software.

Software Protection services

I want to activate windows 10 but can't since software protection services is disabled. I get error 5 when I try to start it. I saw online that I need to give myself permission in the sppsvc folder in order to start software protection but when I go to the
"Permissions for sppsvc" folder, all the boxes are grey and I can't give myself permission.

Any help would be appreciated!
