Windows 10: Logging into a Windows computer from another computer which uses an online account to logon

I need help understanding how Windows logons work when logging in using an online account.I have a Win10 computer which I logon to using my personal email address as the logon credential "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***". This works great when logging into the computer locally. I can see my username "julian" in Computer Manager Local Users and Groups Users which seems pretty normal. The account is a member of the Administrators group.I would like to transfer some files from my work computer to my home computer. I opened Windows Explorer on the work computer and put "\\MyHomeComputer\c$" and it asks me

I would like to know the difference between user account and computer account in active directory. I got a lot of successful logon events(event 4624) with destination user name as computer account name.

When these computer accounts get logged in?

 

Automatic logon does not work on my computer

a) I am unable to remember one of the logons which I setup as an emergency logon (in case I forget the other logon).

-> When logged on under an admin account, you can change the password for any other account. Press the Windows key and type users, then follow the prompts.

b) I am unable to long [log on?] without keying in a password.

You must follow this procedure while the user accounts panel (the one you posted) is active:

• Tick the box that requires users to enter a password.
• Click the account name under which you wish to log on automatically.
• Untick the box from Step 1.
• Click OK.
• Enter the password for the chosen account.

 

Strange Windows 10 User Account issue.

Unfortunately I had done those steps numerous reboots, it just, reappears for no good reason. The base account isn't even a Microsoft account, it's a local account.

I haven't quite tried the built in administrator account on W10, but so far in my experience on my own computer, the built in account seemed to have absolutely no more control than I did on my own.

It's just strange, I go in, it warns me twice about deleting the account, then it's gone. Reboot, and it's back?

EDIT: Just to specify, both command line and Netplwiz both say only HIS account exists on the computer, it doesn't list this rogue account. This is what I meant in my first post about the fact that even Windows doesn't seem to believe it exists, HALF the time. *Frown
