Windows 10: Logging into Administrator Account w/o Password Windows 10

Hello!I'm currently trying to access an old account on a desktop computer currently on Windows 10 I haven't used in a few years since I got my current laptop. However, I am unable to remember the password for the profile - which happens to be the Administrator profile for the desktop. I do have a hint which helped me, but I don't seem to remember the specifics of the password.I've tried methods of elevating the profile I'm currently on one that was unlocked to an Administrator role, but ALSO need my old password to make changes to the computer ;_;. When it asks non-admin accounts for an admin password to authorise something, it routinely suggests the last admin account used. If you click on More choices, you will see a list of admin accounts and you can just select the one you now have access to. The next time the dialog appears it will suggest that as the admin account to use to give permission to proceed.



Once you have done this and seen it all working, you can either delete her old account [after having checked her user folders to make sure there is nothing there you need] or, assuming it is a local account not an MSAccount, just reset her password then put on a new one** so that the account is available as a spare admin.

Look at this thread,How to Delete a User Account in Windows 10, it may help. You can try the various methods.
Make sure you are using an administrative account when removing the account or log on using the Administrator's account.

Or, if you are patient and know what you are doing, manually remove it.

I do have a hint which helped me, but I don't seem to remember the specifics of the password.

I've tried methods of elevating the profile I'm currently on (one that was unlocked) to an Administrator role, but ALSO need my old password to make changes to the computer (;_. I've also tried to get the password using recommended commands in the Command Prompt, using a Reset Disk with my flash drive AFTER making one on the current unlocked account, and mostly banging my head on the desk reading different articles - which all mention needing to be in an Administrator account, like some cruel joke from the universe.

Is there any hope of getting into my account without having to wipe the desktop/account, or am I out of luck on this?
