Windows 10: login button on the microsoft store does not do anything

I was trying to run Forza Horizon 4 on my pc and i tried a bunch of things to get it working, eventually i did get it working, but since I had reset the microsoft store, I had to sign in again. But when i went to sign in, the sign in button doesnt do anything, like at all, and if i go through the settings app to sign in there it would just show the loading animation forever. This also affects the xbox app and it cant verify that the apps that i have are mine, even though i am signed into the account that owns all my games.

Install Button on Microsoft Store

• Have you tried checking other apps if they don't have install button also?

Microsoft Login

I suggest you to perform Safe Mode with Networking and then try to change the password.

Method 1: Safe mode.

Please follow below steps:

    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Startup Settings.
    
  • 
    Click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Login to Microsoft Account and create a new administrator account.
    

If you’re not able to login using Microsoft account then refer to below steps and check if it helps.

Method 2:
Activate Inbuilt Administrator Account.

Follow the below steps:

    Click on power button at left bottom corner, press and hold
    Shift key and click on Restart.
    
  • 
    Click on Troubleshoot.
    
  • 
    Click on Advanced options.
    
  • 
    Click on Command Prompt and enter following command.
    
    net user Administrator /active:yes
    

Now reboot your system and login to inbuilt admin account and try to reset password for other account. Once you reset password login to other account and to deactivate inbuilt admin account enter following command in elevated command prompt.

net user Administrator /active:no

Can't Login to Store/Xbox/

I suggest you to clear the Windows Store cache by following the steps below:

• Right click on Start button and select “Command Prompt (Admin)”.
• Type “wsreset.exe” and press enter.

After the Windows Store is reset, Computer will automatically open Windows Store. Check if the issue still persists.
