Windows 10: Login credentials failing after most recent Windows 11 update

My Windows 11 PC updated just a few days ago and now I cannot log in. I have tried so many of the forum responses but none seem to work? If I try my PIN it says it cannot verify my credentials. If I try my password then it says it is incorrect. I have changed my password on the microsoft website but the PC still said it was incorrect. I have even tried the "Forgotten password" option from the login screen on the pc - that lets me reset my password but then when the pc asks me to login it says my password is incorrect even though it shows as successful sign-in activity on my MS account activity

Remote Desktop Login Failed

I just purchased a new Windows 11 system and I am using another Windows 11 system on my laptop to access the system through remote desktop and I get an error that says that the login failed. Something in the new Windows 11 system is blocking logins from remote desktop:

• I am using my standard Windows credentials to login locally. I have Administrator rights to the system, and a local login works fine.
  
• I can use Remote Desktop to login to another similar Windows 11 desktop using remote desktop with the same credentials and that also works fine.
  
• I've enabled Remote Desktop access in settings and specified my account as being authorized to login with Remote Deskttop.
  

I've gone through all the support articles I could find on the internet on this problem and I implemented the group policy fixes that have been recommended but it still hasn't resolved the problem. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

We would like to know if you have received any email when you say Microsoft gave me an option to change the login credentials on my Windows 10 computer

Again, please be informed that in order to change the Login ID credentials, you need to access you Microsoft Account at the first place, in this case which would be recovering the Microsoft Account(MSA).

I suggest you to follow the recommended link which was earlier suggested.

Getting back into your Microsoft account if it’s been compromised


Once you recover your MSA, you can refer to the below steps to change the credentials.

• Login to https://login.live.com.
• Specify the current Windows live ID and password in the available fields and click
  Sign in.
• On Microsoft account page, make sure that Overview category is selected from the left pane.
• From the right pane, click Rename account under Account summary.
• From the right pane of the next page, make sure that Create a new email address radio button is selected under
  Rename your Microsoft account.
