Windows 10: login this morning to find Desktop icons badged--why? How to turn off?

Per subject, all of a sudden, this morning my Desktop synced to OneDrive icons have all this OneDrive badging. Didn't have it last night. Example below. Anybody know why it showed up on its own all of a sudden? Anybody know where to turn it off? Taskbar Settings>Taskbar behaviors>Show badges has no effect.

Remove Linux Desktop Icons

I am not sure whether this will work (Ubuntu does not have icons like that on the desktop by default), but I suggest opening the trash bin and sweeping the icons into the window showing the trash bin.

 

Desktop Icons Won't Stay Put

Hi Laurie,

As per the issue description I understand that you are facing issues with desktop icons.

I suggest you try the following step in order to arrange the icons.

• Right click on the desktop.
• Click on view
• Check the option auto arrange icons.

Must Kill XP Login Icon

That's the funny thing, I don't have it passworded. But everytime it boots, it stops at the blue login screen and it will sit there until I click the icon, which takes me right to my desktop, no password required.

I know how to change the icon, but can't make the thing go away! *Mad
