Windows 10: Logitech G633 forced to use generic Conexant audio drivers after KB2267602 Version...

I use a Logitech G633 with my system, and normally it works fine with the Logitech G Hub. However, after the today's Microsoft Defender update, the headset has been forced to use generic Conexant audio drivers. Unfortunately, I do not have the old G633 drivers as they were lost upon reinstalling G Hub, but before I had done that the headset would revert to the Conexant drivers when told to use the G633 drivers anyway. Even when the old G633 drivers were briefly in use again, the G Hub software did not recognize the headset again. I do not have restore points from before the update I can use,

Problem with Conexant audio driver

My laptop is Lenovo g70. Due to windows update Conexant audio get installed on my laptop. It seems that there is bug in this driver. My microphone stops working. Before update it works fine with generic driver.

I have tried all method including checking of "Conexant audio option" in speech recognition but it doesn't fix. I rolled back driver. Now it's completely fine. No issue. Shouldn't Microsoft remove Conexant audio from windows update if the driver is buggy
and its generic driver works perfectly fine?

 

How can I permanently uninstall Conexant SmartAudio HD audio driver

It's not work. I have done this

1. download and run the program you suggested.

Conexant driver is not on the list (select to hide)

2. uninstall Conexant driver

High Definition Audio Device is in used now

3. run program again

Conexant driver still not on the list (select to hide)

4. restart my laptop

High Definition Audio Device still in used.

5. run program again

Conexant driver is on the list (select to hide)

6. Select Conexant and Hide it

Conexant driver is now in hidden list

7. a few minutes later my laptop notify me to restart my laptop to finished setting up Conexant

Conexant driver is now disappear from the hidden list and take over my sound device again.
