Windows 10: Logitech webcam microphone always on

Hi,

I have 1803 with the latest ups and the last time a couple of days ago I noticed something quite weird.

A Logitech webcam is also attached as it always has been.

Since the update the microphone is always on.

Naturally only want it on when using it but cannot see what would cause this so i can stop it.

Logitech - WebCam - HD Webcam C525 - Error 0x800f0203

I followed the listed steps and the webcam is performing properly and is recognized by Windows 10, I checked software and driver updates on the Logitech site and the Logitech utility states the software and driver are up to date and working properly. The
only issue I have is with Windows 10 Updates trying to update the Logitech software/drivers in the recent update and that update is throwing the Ox800f0203 error and continues to does so after all of the suggested solutions. Which puzzles me since the Logitech
hardware/software/driver is working properly.

 

Logitech C270 Webcam - no microphone

Hi,

I run Win 10 Pro, V 1709, build 16299.431. I have just bought a Logitech C270 Webcam with inbuilt mic and downloaded the Logitech software as directed. The video works but no microphone is identified. Some other features also appear to be missing. The
following message appears "You are using generic Windows UVC) drivers providing reduced functionality and support for your product. To get the best experience out of your camera, please install Logitech drivers". Having installed the drivers, it would seem
that they are not recognised or that there is a compatibility problem.

Your advice would be appreciated please.

Logitech C920 webcam microphone will not stay working

I bought a new DELL Inspiron 3650 in August 2016 and have been working will DELL support for two months to try to get the microphone to work in my Logitech C920 webcam. I have spent over 30 hours on the phone with DELL support and they have not been unable
to identify the cause and fix the problem. After all this time they are now saying it's a Microsoft or Logitech problem but won't get involved in finding a fix. Logitech told me yesterday that they are having all sorts of problems with Windows 10 but earlier
told me it should work fine with Windows 10. I just can't get a straight answer from anyone. The video camera works fine and even the microphone will work once in a while for just a short period of time ( an hour or so ) and then stop working. I can't seem
to find any information about what is causing this problem and how to fix it if it can be fixed. I had to pay DELL an additional $146 when I first contacted DELL about the problem because their warranty only covers hardware and this appeared to be a software
problem so the I paid the $146 for a DELL software contract. Any suggestions out there. I know the microphone works because it works fine on my laptop with Windows 7.
