Windows 10: Logitech webcam

as of March 10 before all future windows updates when i took a video with my Logitech c525 Webcam ans went tofike to send it to the desktop I would see the video and was able to share send or whatever. I have not added or installed any other programs etc. no my default is windows media player and i am om windows 10 pc home . anyway now when i got to file and send to desktop i do not see the video i see the windows media player icon and have to click on it to view it as i said before it would show the video. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the video several times. I have reached out to Logitech and 2of the techs on wind ow's help that remote connected both said that i need an in place upgrde i would rather not do that. The camera does work and after the video is taken in the bottom little square i do see the video until i hit go to file and see just the WVM icon. i have also tried in VLC and same thing I do not know why it did tis all of a sudden as i said as of March 10th it qwas working correctly but now just the icon this is what i see as before it wouks show the actual video. it is like it is not seeing the thumb nail or goimng directly to windows media player library. I think perhaps a windows update may have done this. when i click on the icon i do see the video itself. Can you help why did it do this all of a sudden. I tjought at first it was a problem with windows media player but i get the the icon in VLc as well or i fran view etc I can switch to vlc and show you what i get as well

Logitech - WebCam - HD Webcam C525 - Error 0x800f0203

I followed the listed steps and the webcam is performing properly and is recognized by Windows 10, I checked software and driver updates on the Logitech site and the Logitech utility states the software and driver are up to date and working properly. The
only issue I have is with Windows 10 Updates trying to update the Logitech software/drivers in the recent update and that update is throwing the Ox800f0203 error and continues to does so after all of the suggested solutions. Which puzzles me since the Logitech
hardware/software/driver is working properly.

 

Since downloading Windows 10 my Logitech webcam is not working

Setting up a webcam as the camera default

Hi Kevin

Method 1: If the Webcam is listed under Devices and printers, please follow the steps.

a. Press Windows key + R

b. Type: control printers

c. Hit Enter

d. Check if the Logitech webcam is listed.

e. Right click on Logitech webcam.

f. Click on Set this device as default.

Follow method 2 if webcam is not listed.

Method 2: What best we can do is we can disable the Internal webcam. You will be able to enable the webcam anytime you want.

Please follow the steps to disable HP Envy Webcam.

a. Press Windows + X, click Device Manager.

b. Click Imaging devices.

c. Right click on webcam.

d. Click Disable.
