Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Sound System not working in Windows 10

I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and I can't seem to get my Logitech Z506 5.1 surround sound system to work. When I do a sound test set up in 5.1 configuration the rear right and left speakers don't
work. The rear speakers work when I select 7.1 settings and click the sound test button but then when I play music and media that I know is in surround sound format the rear speakers are extremely quite and almost no sound comes out

  3. Logitech surround speakers not recognized as surround speakers?

Hi I have Logitech Z506 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers plugged into my laptop. They work fine and all but when I go into the sound settings they are labelled as stereo. There are not other options to select. How can I change this? I suck at audio stuff so
please try to dumb it down for me if that's ok. Thanks in advance, hope I can fix this if it is fixable

Probably not too well,as you give very little information about your system.

Are you really running Windows 8.1? If so, you may do better by posting here:

    Windows 8 Forums

Regardless, the obvious suggestion is to uninstall and re-install your sound card drivers. If you are like most of us, your computer has a Realtek sound device built in. The latest released version of the drivers is here:

    Realtek

    Good luck.

    I guess that's enough information.

Asus doesn't offer drivers newer than for Windows 7 on their support page for your motherboard. I see that it uses Via audio rather than Realtek.

Perhaps ones direct form Via are worth a try:
