Windows 10: Logo and Thumbnails missing on certain files

Some images in .png files don't have thumbnails, also it seems like every mp3 Groove Music logo is missing, meanwhile, the Microsoft Photos icon logo is also missing, it seems that .jpeg isn't affected by the Thumbnail missing.Also note that only newer png files are affected and not old ones, for example, I got few .png files that show thumbnails, but some of the new or freshly downloaded images don't have thumbnails previews.I tried these solutionseleting IconCache.db and ThumbCache.db and Restart WindowsUncheck the "Only Shows Icon, not Thumbnails" option in the File ExplorerResetting Groo

Many thanks for you reply. I have done all the steps you suggested, but no change,

When I open a folder containing photos, some open correctly but the vast majority open with thumbnails, but they very quickly get overwritten and you can not longer see the thumbnails.

Are there any more suggestions?

 

How to disable thumbnails for all files

Disable Thumbnails in File Explorer:

1. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type control folders and click on
   OK.
   
3. Click on View tab.
   
4. Select the checkbox for Always show icons, never thumbnails under
   Files and Folders.
   

Disable Thumbnails in Visual Effects:

1. Press Windows Logo key + R, to open
   Run dialog box.
   
2. Type SystemPropertiesPerformance
   and click on OK.
   
3. Go to Visual Effects tab and clear the checkbox for
   Show thumbnails instead of icons.
   
4. Click on Apply and OK.

No thumbnails issue in Windows 10

Thank you for your prompt response. Certain folder options can cause the thumbnails not to appear in your File Explorer. Let us follow these steps to ensure that the thumbnail settings are enabled:

• Using Windows Search, type and click File Explorer Options.
• Click on View tab.
• Uncheck the Always show icons, never thumbnails checkbox.
