Windows 10: Logon screen does NOT show after screen saver, even though it's set to.?

This started happening in the past couple of weeks.

I have screen saver set to blank and 10 minutes, I have also set the screen to turn off after 10 minutes.

In the screen saver settings I have "On resume, display logon screen" ticked.

This has worked fine for years but now recently, it doesn't ask me to log in anymore.

It works after a restart but I but my PC to sleep every night and after that it stops working.

Any help would be appreciated!

No password prompt at login screen at screen saver...cannot get back without reboot

Hi,

This issue may occur if the display logon screen option is disabled on the screen saver settings. We suggest that you follow these steps on how to enable the
display logon screen option:

• On Cortana search, type settings.
• Choose Settings from the list.
• Click on Personalization, then select on Lock screen at the left pane.
• Click on Screen saver settings, then put a tick on the
  On resume, display logon screen.
• Click on Apply, then click on OK.

The issue you encountered with screen saver can be due to incorrect screen saver settings. To better isolate your concern, we'd like to ask the following:

• Have you tried changing the screen saver settings?
• Are you trying to off the the screen saver?

Meanwhile, you can follow these steps to turn off your screen saver:

• Open Settings and Select Personalization.
• Click Lock screen, scroll down and choose Screen saver settings.
• Choose None in the drop-down menu.
• Select Apply.
• Click OK.

Win 10 screen saver doesn't always display logon screen after screen saver activated

My win 10 screen saver doesn't always display logon screen. Here are my settings:

• Screen saver = 2 min "blank" screen saver selected.
  
• On resume box = Ticked to display logon screen.
  
• Energy setting profile = High performance.
  
• Turn off display = After 15 min.
  
• Sleeping is set to = 300 min.
  
• Hibernate = Never.
  
• Allow wake timers = Disabled.
  
• Theme = Windows 10 themes.
