Windows 10: Long boot times due to unknown reason

    Long boot times due to unknown reason


    So for a solid month now, my system seems to have gotten slow whenever I try to start it up. I didn't notice it at first since I usually do something else whenever it boots. However, recently when I sat down to actually wait for my laptop to boot up, it took a solid 10 minutes just to get to the welcome screen. This didn't happen when I got my laptop for the first time and that was only 2 months ago. I tried boot logging from my Msconfig just to see if that would help and I noticed that were a few errors regarding the display drivers this caused the boot log to write 2000 lines about the errors. I managed to fix the errors by doing a fresh reinstall of the display drivers but the slow boot time still persisted, so I tried to log my boot again. I noticed that the laptop keeps trying to load some windows drivers again and again even though it already loaded.

    From the boot log, what I can see is that it keeps trying to load the driver until everything else is fully loaded. I don't really know how to solve this problem. I've tried DISM and SFC commands, they all returned to me with no errors whatsoever. I tried checking Windows Update to see if I missed anything important but it doesn't return anything for me to download. I could be entirely wrong in how I approach my problem but I'm not really that tech-savvy to properly troubleshoot my issue.

    Long boot time and passwords missing

    The only reason I mention the account is that a Windows update recently was causing people to be signed into a temporary account, your password manager may be installed for all users but the list of passwords would be user specific, therefore the blank password list suggests a different account. *Smile

    Multiple Different Errors for Unknown Reasons

    Unfortunately neither fixed the issue. Trying to follow the instructions of any other 'windows not connecting fix' things online leads to errors like this popping up at nearly every step:

    Hello Pawan, thank you for the reply!

    I've tried all of the steps that you've given me. Unfortunately, none of them made a difference except for the clean boot step. It didn't completely solve the problem, however I did notice a
    slightly faster load time for the lock screen. However, it still takes an unusually long time to load it. Any other suggestions?
