Windows 10: Long Press Key Problem

I bought a new keyboard and i was gonna test it on my laptop, when I triedto play games on it after long pressing W the forward movement key it just doesnt register as a long press but as repeated key press so the character instead of moving it stops for a moment and moves like it lags. Long pressing a key makes it lag, even when I opened up notepad and tested the keyboard out, it stops writing the key that i pressed and after letting the key, it registers hundreds of key strokes and my whole laptop lags until it stops. I tried an old keyboard and it works very fine.Keyboard: Thermaltake W1

Long press problem

Hello, here asking help again..

I bought a new keyboard yesterday and was gonna test on a computer and then I tried games on it but suddenly when i long press W (the forward movement key) it just stops for a moment . Like Long pressing a key makes it lag. I opened up notepad and tested
the keyboard out.

It stops the long press for a moment and continues repeatedly.

I tried an old keyboard and it works very fine.

I tried connecting the new keyboard to my laptop and surprisingly, there's no problem about it.

Long press works, Gaming works..

Any feedback and suggestions will be appreciated.

Booting without press any key

@dhievm go ahead and list the model number that gives exact specs/info.


Does it stop right at the Toshiba logo and sit there? Will it sit forever til you press a key, or will it eventually work after so long?

You can reset your password following the next steps:

• Reboot your computer / Turn your computer on.
• Hold down the Shift key at the start of the boot process to enable the GNU GRUB boot menu (if it does not show)
• Press ESC at the GNU GRUB prompt.
• Press e for edit.
• Use the Arrow keys to highlight the line that begins with kernel and press the e key.
• Go to the very end of the line and add rw init=/bin/bash
• Press Enter and then press b to boot your system.
• Your system will boot up to a passwordless root shell.
• Type in passwd yourusername
• Set your new password.
• Restart your system.
