Windows 10: Looking for a basic laptop for an elderly person. Can you buy windows 11 without s?

HiI am looking for a low spec laptop for an elderly lady who only does banking, email and someone online shopping. I am worried that if I buy one with windows 11 it will be this s mode thing, lol Can you buy a laptop without the s mode? If not is is easy for a non tech person to switch it off?many thanksLeah

Let's stick to one topic and leave the emotional stuff aside. To print a picture from anywhere, do this:

1. Create a desktop shortcut for snippingtool.exe.
2. Drag it onto the Task Bar so that it is always easily accessible.
3. Click it on the Task Bar to open it.
4. Use your mouse to draw a frame around any screen area.
5. Click File, then Print.

Step 4 depends a bit on your version of Windows (which you did not state).

 

Why have the Documents and Photo folders disappeared in Windows 11 on laptop???

Why have the Documents and Photo folders disappeared in Windows 11 on laptop? I am trying to help an elderly person use their brand new laptop to create a Powerpoint presentation. We have removed the One Drive service and now I can't find the basic folders in the C drive Documents or Photos unless I search for the USERS folder etc. All folders take ages to locate. Why??

I would like suggestions and look in local stores. I dont wanna buy a laptop from someone online. Sorry. But could be a good idea if you asked him about the performance on older games. Gonna make a list ofall laptops people suggest me.

Remove the screen for space purpose here its small desk and if the screen is opened it will hide my 22 inches lcd
