    Looking for a program

    Hello.
Is there a program to check if a compilation of files (to burn on cd or dvd) will fill the disk to its maximum, if I make a too large compilation, the burning program will "say" it is too much, then have to start removing files and try again to burn.
If I remove too much, then some disk space remains not used.
    Hope I made myself clear.
    Thanks for answers.

    :)

In File Explorer [and Windows Explorer in earlier versions of Windows] I Select all the files desired then carefully right-click in the middle of the selection and click Properties, gives a total size. Then I compare that to the capacity of the disc to be used, just under 700MB for a CD-R and about 4.2GB for a DVD-R or DVD+R. The RW discs may take a bit less due to formatting, etc. If I have too much data selected I get to make the choice of what to leave out for use in another disc.

CDBurnerXP will do this and all similar burners will show you a graphical representation of space usage.

I have used the free CDBurnerXP and it has a graft at the bottom showing how much space is being used and how much is left.

Another user of CDburnerXP, but it has been awhile since I last used it.

Please be aware, that Opencandy is bundled with some version from developer site. At least it used to be.
So I recommend download from Softpedia or Ninite. Better yet, use Unchecky.

You can read review of free CD-DVD burner software at Techsupportalert (Gizmo site). Used to be my favorite...

Instead of Ninite service (guarantee clean software) you could also use Chocolatey service. Kari made great tutorial for it.
