Windows 10: Looking for best approach to whitelisted websites.

Dear community, I have been trying to learn about best approach to block the internet and only whitelist services used. Goal here is to give additional protection layer at work where any phishing links, scam attempts etc would simply not work. There has to be a way in Microsoft either from Windows settings or perhaps Edge internet policies to achieve such level of URL filtering that I am missing. We have a system in place but its complicated and based on router filtering or something like that. Limitation of this is that we still cannot get Microsoft services webpages to work e.g. Excel Onl

How to exclude all website except whitelisted website in Windows level

Hello, My company setup a Kiosk PC accessing internet and 3 non-kiosk PC without accessing internet. I am being asked for excluding website except whitelisted websites in Kiosk PC. That Kiosk PC is Windows 10, workgroup only, cannot join domain, that means no Active directory. No budget for buying software. Installed Chrome and MS IE as the web-browser. I have no idea currently because there are many restrictions and limitations. May I ask can I setup rule(s) in Windows OS level policy to exclude all website except whitelisted websites? Surfshark Blocks Your Phone Companion - Can't Whitelist?

I've installed Surfshark VPN on my PC and phone. Naturally, this breaks the connection between my phone and PC using the Your Phone / Your Phone Companion apps.

Surfshark tech support says to whitelist the Your Phone Companion app. However, Your Phone Companion does not show up in the list of applications, either from within Surfshark or in the main Android applications list. (And yes, it is installed, before anyone
asks. It was working fine before installing Surfshark.)

Any suggestions?

 

Whitelist For UAC?

This script doesn't create a whitelist, in the normal sense. What it does is automate the steps of creating an elevated scheduled task to run your specific command line, and adding a matching shortcut. If you choose to use this PS script, then call the created task from your batch file: schtasks run /TN "Name" Where "Name" is the task's label in the $whitelist array. TenForums has a tutorial, and many posts covering the use of elevated shortcuts to get around the UAC problem.
