Windows 10: Looking for drivers for my windows xp gateway laptop.

So i've been looking for a driver for 'Multimedia Audio Controller' for my windows xp laptop. Closest results i found gave me links to a website that no longer existed. I got error 28 when trying to diagnose the problem, and most games i've been playing either don't work or give me constant errors letting me know the audio isn't working. I also don't have drivers for:Ethernet ControllerMass storage controllerNetwork ControllerVideo ControllerVideo Controller VGA CompatibleAny help is appreciated, thanks!

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

reloading windows in gateway laptop

is it an oem windows xp disc you have (ie: able to install windows from boot) ? if so just get into your bios set your cd to boot first and when it says press any button to load cd (or similar) press anything, the setup process will begin and xp should find your hdd no problem (will be c*Smile

then read the options and choose to format the drive (i normally choose quick format as the longer one is just the same but checks the whole disk for errors and takes quite a while depending on the size) once formatted proceed to install win xp and the next step it will say " setup is now copying files" when this is done the laptop will reboot,

upon the reboot go back into the bios and select your hdd to boot first (might be ide0 or hdd) but keep the xp disc in then when you exit bios you will see the windows xp loading screen and it should be plain sailing from there.

sorry if im talking to you like a n00b you might know most of this but if you follow these steps you shouldnt see any problems.

Is anything listed for your laptop? Even a Win 7 or 8 driver for example - and for x64 if your O/S is x64 of course.
