    Looking for drivers for the Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 - Microsoft site gives a 404


    I have a Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 that I just dug up for some Covid-style socializing. I know it's old, but I'm hoping to get it to work with my Windows 10 installation.


    I went to the driver page:

    https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-sg/d/lifecam-vx-6000


    There are no drivers listed for Windows 10, it says it should work without drivers it doesn't. It lists drivers for Windows 7, which I tried to download. This, however, takes me to a fun 404 page.


    I understand that Windows 10 is not supported on a 14 year old webcam. But I wás hoping to get the old drivers and see whether I can run them in compatibility mode. This should work according to the last reply to this question.


    Are these still somewhere in the archives? The driver page suggests they are. Could you link them there again?

    TO: John Wendell Thompson, Bill Gates & Microsoft Software Engineers:

    The Lifecam VX-6000 webcam

    * Excellent modern usb camera

    * Not obselete technology

    * Not suitable for "end of support"

    Regarding the Lifecam VX-6000 webcam driver.

    * You have sold thousands upon thousands of these webcams for Windows.

    * Then you upgraded Windows

    * You have then neglected to release a Lifecam VX-6000 webcam driver for Windows 10

    * This is extremely bad for the environment and for your customers.

    PLEASE:

    * Create and release the Lifecam VX-6000 webcam driver for Windows 10

    * Add to the driver list: https://www.microsoft.com/accessories/en-gb/d/lifecam-vx-6000
